MetaboThyroid 2025: Investigating New Therapy for Metabolic-Thyroid Disorders

This study evaluates a novel medication aimed at improving both metabolic control and thyroid function in adult patients with co-existing type 2 diabetes and hypothyroidism.

  • Adults aged 30–70
  • Diagnosed with both type 2 diabetes (≥ 1 year) and hypothyroidism (on stable treatment)
  • HbA1c between 7 %-10 %
  • Not pregnant, no advanced renal impairment

Duration & Visits:

18 months, approximately 8 clinic visits + periodic lab tests

This study explores a new oral medication designed to help adults with type 2 diabetes achieve better blood-sugar control while reducing side effects commonly associated with insulin therapy.

  • Adults aged 30–70
  • Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (A1C 7–10 %)
  • On stable medication for ≥ 3 months
  • No advanced kidney or heart disease

Duration & Visits:

12 months, 6 clinic visits + home glucose monitoring
